Notifications & settings
Get the right alert, on the right channel, at the right time. Then set up the app the way your organization works and let automations handle routine follow-ups.
Four ways to be notified
Notifications are delivered reliably in the background. Each channel is tracked separately, so if one fails, the others still arrive.
| Channel | Best for |
|---|---|
| ๐ In-app | Everything. It always lands in your Inbox. |
| ๐ฅ๏ธ Browser push | Pop-up alerts on your computer or installed phone app, even when the app is in the background. |
| โ๏ธ Email | Alerts you want to keep or forward. |
| ๐ฌ WhatsApp | Urgent alerts when you are away from your desk. |
Turn on browser notifications
- Open your notification settingsGo to Settings โ Notifications โ Channels.
- Enable browser notificationsWhen your browser asks for permission, choose Allow.
- On iPhone or iPadFirst install the app on your Home Screen, then enable notifications from inside the installed app.
Quiet hours

Protect your focus and your evenings. Under Settings โ Notifications โ Quiet hours, set a daily window, for example 20:00 to 07:00.
During quiet hours, non-urgent alerts on external channels (browser push, email, and WhatsApp) are held and delivered when the window ends. Your in-app Inbox still collects everything, so nothing is lost.
Settings
Settings is organized into five groups. What you can change depends on your role. Most people only use Account and Notifications.
| Group | Sections | What you set there |
|---|---|---|
| Account | Your account | Opens your Profile. |
| Application | General, Calendar, Defaults, Assistant | Product name, language and region, currency, working week and hours, defaults for new projects, and the Assistant provider. |
| Notifications | Channels, Quiet hours | Your personal channels and quiet-hours window. |
| People | Access | Shortcuts to user and role administration. |
| Services | Integrations | Whether the database, background jobs, file storage, and notification providers are ready. |
Changing an application default, such as the working week or currency, applies to projects created afterwards. Existing projects keep their settings.
Automation center
The Automations page under System holds company-wide rules. Each rule follows the same pattern:
Trigger
A work item's status changes, an item is due or overdue, a weekly or custom schedule fires, or someone runs the rule manually.
Conditions
Check the status, priority, or assignee.
Actions
Notify people, create a work item, or create a risk.
- Pause, resume, or run now at any time.
- Every run is recorded in the rule's history, including steps that were skipped.
- Scheduled rules run on the server, so they work even when nobody has the app open.
- Automations never bypass permissions. Before each run, the app checks that the rule is still allowed to act.
Need a rule for just one project? Use the project's own Automations tab.
